One
of NLGJA's youngest chapters, the
Colorado Chapter (formerly the
Denver Chapter) was officially
certified by NLGJA's National Board in 2004.
Similar
to the region itself, Colorado
Chapter members are hard-working,
fiercely independent and connected
to their community. Similar to
other chapters, Colorado was formed
to connect journalists committed
to fair and accurate coverage of
LGBT issues during a time when
it seemed like there weren't that
many LGBT people in the community.
We proved that theory wrong with the official formation of the chapter.
