The Hotel

The Westin Horton Plaza
910 Broadway Circle
San Diego, CA 92101
619-239-2200

Most NLGJA sessions and events will take place on the second level, with a few of the bigger sessions venturing up a floor or two to the hotel’s beautiful terraces. All convention plenaries and meals will take place in California Ballroom A & B. The hands-on training room is right off the lobby by the hotel bar on the ground floor. And if you want to pump some iron or take a quick dip in the pool, press three in the elevator and make sure you bring your room key.

Guide to Horton Plaza
The good news? Everything you could possibly need or want to buy is located mere steps from the hotel at Horton Plaza. The bad news? The five-level mall feels like it was designed by M.C. Escher. Click here for a complete guide.

Transportation Resources

Get a Map

Take a Taxi
If you’re venturing out of downtown, cab sharing with other attendees is your best bet. Meet at the NLGJA registration desk to form a group, and then let the hotel door staff do the rest. For the return trip, program 619-234-6161 into your cell phone. That’s the number for Yellow Cab of San Diego, and you’ll be happy you have it in your back pocket.

Take the Trolley
Though it can't take you everywhere (like the beach), San Diego's trolley system is handy for travel within downtown and out to the burbs. They operate seven days a week from about 5:00 AM until midnight, depending on the station, at intervals of about 15 minutes. Click here for more information and timetables.

Take a Shuttle
Numerous shuttle services are also available for airport transportation. Shuttle prices generally begin at $7.00, and attendees can expect the trip to be between 15 and 20 minutes. The hotel concierge recommends Xpress Shuttle and Cloud 9 Shuttle.
