Longtime NLGJA-ers Keith Darcé (left) and partner Rex Wockner share their San Diego top ten, plus a few of their personal photos taken in and around town.

A hamburger at Hodad's in Ocean Beach. Make it a double bacon cheeseburger. Keith (not Rex) suggests onion rings as well. Cajuns and deep-fried, you know.
A sunset stroll on the Pacific Beach "boardwalk."
A drink at the top of the Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego (downtown within walking distance of our convention site).
A drive to the mountain village of Julian (75 minutes each way).
A drive beyond Julian down-down-down into Anza Borrego Desert State Park (two hours each way).
A visit to the seals and sea lions that have completely taken over "The Children's Pool" beach in La Jolla, followed by a stroll down Prospect Street, foofy La Jolla's main foo-foo shopping drag.
The world-famous San Diego Zoo, or the Wild Animal Park, which is out in the country, but also part of the Zoo.
A vista-filled visit to Cabrillo National Monument.
A walk through Balboa Park, which apparently contains the second-largest concentration of museums after the National Mall in Washington, DC.
A walking tour of Tijuana. If you ask nice, we'll lead one for a small-to-medium-sized group. Otherwise, you'll get lost and have to depend on the kindness of Tijuana's notorious police officers. Believe it or don't, Tijuana is a fascinating metropolis of more than 1.5 million people. It's got museums, a cutting-edge art scene, its very own hip music (Nortec) that is praised from Los Angeles to Europe, foo-foo restaurants, an IMAX theater, trendy dance clubs, intimate live-music cafés, and a longrunning LGBT pride parade, with a heavy emphasis on the T. Downtown Tijuana is 15 minutes south of downtown San Diego.
