The
Right Approach: Covering LGBT Conservatives
The LGBT community has never been monolithic, particularly
when it comes to politics. But are reporters getting
all views on stories? Hear from leading LGBT conservatives
as they discuss LGBT media coverage of Republican
causes, policy views and candidates.

Surfing
Tips: Avoiding Online Riptides
Just like mainstream media, LGBT media outlets
must navigate a host of online platforms to deliver
the news. What policies do publishers have in place
to guide staffers as they ride a wave of personals
sites, company Web pages and personal blogs? Can
an online blogger or columnist also be a credible
journalist?

Mainstream
Media & The LGBT Press: Co-Opting or
Cooperation?
No longer is news about the LGBT community relegated
to LGBT media. In today's media landscape, many "straight" media
outlets read pink. Is straight media co-opting
the LGBT press? How can weekly or monthly LGBT
outlets differentiate coverage? Should LGBT outlets
go mainstream?

Currents? LGBT Media & LGBT PR
Do LGBT media outlets have a special responsibility
when it comes to covering LGBT events and causes?
How can LGBT public relations professionals juggle
