In order to facilitate the teaching of, and research into, mass communication practices (including news coverage, public relations, advertising, and photography), trends, ethics, problems, history, and theory related to gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender-oriented subjects, the NLGJA Leroy F. Aarons Journalism Education Program, with assistance from the GLBT Interest Group of the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication, has assembled lists of scholarly research by subject area listed below.
