Welcome to NLGJA’s new Web site! NLGJA’s Women’s Task Force would like to be one of the first to extend a hand and say hello.
As you’re getting to know more about this dynamic organization, we ask that you also take a moment to learn a few things about the our task force itself.
The Women’s Task Force was designed to diligently meet the objectives of our female members by continuously developing new programming, networking opportunities and other initiatives specifically geared for women.
We have made significant progress over the last year by increasing the number of participants in the task force, and our success continues to grow with the annual Women’s Networking Dinner held at NLGJA’s national conventions. Here, we recognize the outstanding service of our female members while offering a relaxed atmosphere of camaraderie and socializing. We are also proud to report that not only do NLGJA’s local chapters continue to increase programming focused on women, but many have also created officer positions aimed at recruiting female journalists as well.
We encourage NLGJA members to get the most out of your membership by getting involved with the Women’s Task Force or your local chapter. Your contributions and ideas will be very much appreciated.
