About NLGJA's National Office Internship
NLGJA's National Office Internship is an ideal opportunity for a student interested in non-profit management, news media and/or LGBT issues.
In addition to performing general office and administrative duties, past internship duties have included assisting in the planning of NLGJA's annual National Convention and Excellence in Journalism Awards, as well as collaborating with NLGJA staff in planning and executing the organization's ongoing outreach to students and educators.
Depending on an intern's skills and/or fields of interest, special projects may be devised and added to the typical intern duties listed above.
Interns work in our fast-paced office environment, building professional skills that will strengthen any résumé and gaining hands-on experience in non-profit administration and organizational culture. Additionally, interns receive a free one-year NLGJA membership.
