Marcus Mabry is Editor at Large at The New York Times, leading the team that produces the Times’ mobile app, Apple Watch app and Times content on Apple News. He also leads the social rewrite desk. Mabry’s previous digital jobs included anchoring and writing Times’ web video, including live daily newscasts, and creating and editing the global blog for the Times’ international edition, IHTRendezvous, while based in Paris and London. Mabry has been the Times’ National desk’s U.S. politics editor and international business editor. Before coming to the Times in 2007, Mabry worked for 19 years at Newsweek as an editor and correspondent. In his last position at Newsweek, he was chief of correspondents, responsible for deploying and managing the magazine’s domestic and international correspondents. Mabry has been based in London, Paris, Johannesburg, Washington and Atlanta.

He is a frequent commentator on politics, world affairs and public opinion on French television, CNN, MSNBC, NPR, France 2 and France 24. He has keynoted conferences on democracy, diversity, and education. Mabry speaks fluent French.
