sasseenJane Sasseen is an award-winning financial journalist and founding executive director of the McGraw Center for Business Journalism at the CUNY Graduate School of Journalism. Sasseen spent 15 years at BusinessWeek, serving as Washington bureau chief, News Editor and National Correspondent before being named editor-in-chief for politics and opinion at Yahoo News. Earlier in her career, she spent nine years in Europe, writing for Newsweek, the International Herald Tribune and others before joining London-based International Management as Paris bureau chief.

More recently, she has written for the New York Times, the Economist Group, and McKinsey & Company, among others. She has also done extensive work on the impact of digital media on journalism for the Pew Research Center’s annual State of the News Media report, in addition to authoring The Video Revolution and A Clash of Cultures: Hate Speech, Taboos, Blasphemy, and the Role of the News Media for the Center for International Media Assistance. She was a visiting professor in the Global Business Journalism program at Tsinghua University in Beijing in 2013 and is an advisory board member of the International Center for Journalists.
