John is currently Vice President and LGBT Segment Manager on the Wells Fargo Enterprise Marketing Segments and Strategy team. In that role he guides the company’s national LGBT marketing strategy across multiple lines of business.
Prior to joining Wells Fargo he served for eight years as Corporate Development Director for the Human Rights Campaign (HRC), America’s largest LGBT advocacy organization. During this time, John led their national corporate partnership program, developing customized programs to build resources for HRC’s mission while accomplishing the objectives of their corporate partners.
Before moving to the non-profit side at HRC, John was the owner and principal of Open Door Marketing, a marketing consultancy specialized in strategically building brands with the LGBT community. He also spent over a decade working for traditional advertising agencies on the West Coast, including DDB Worldwide in San Francisco, and The Sachs Group in Los Angeles.
