Hotel FAQ
1. I’ve booked a hotel room at the Hyatt, do I need to do anything to change my reservation?
Since you already had a reservation at the Hyatt, we have forwarded your reservation to the Westin St. Francis; however, for security purposes, we did not forward your credit information. To guarantee your reservation, please call 1-800-937-8461 and provide a credit card information.
2. Will rooms at the Westin St. Francis cost the same as was previously advertised?
The nightly rate for convention attendees will remain the same, just $189 per night plus taxes and fees, but only for rooms from September 2 check-in to September 6 checkout and are based on availability. Rooms at this discounted rate are available until 5pm Pacific August 14, or until the NLGJA block sells out, whichever comes first. Rooms reserved for other than for the NLGJA room block dates, after the deadline or once the block sells out, will only be available at market rates.
3. Where is the new hotel?
The Westin St. Francis is at 335 Powell St, San Francisco, CA 94102, on Union Square in the heart of the city. The hotel is 2 blocks from Market Street and only 10 blocks away from our previous site. (Hint: we’ll be closer to the Castro).
4. Why is the convention site changing?
The Hyatt Regency Embarcadero changed its timeline and will may be completing major renovations during our convention dates. To provide the best experience possible and avoid any possible disruptions, NLGJA has changed the site of this year’s convention.
5. Will the convention dates change?
No. NLGJA will still come home to San Francisco September 3-6 and celebrate our 25th anniversary.
6. If I don’t like the Westin, can I still stay at the Hyatt Regency?
NLGJA convention-goers can not get a discounted room reservation rate at this hotel.
7. When should I book a room at the Westin St. Francis?
The Westin St. Francis room block is now open. Click here or call 1-800-937-8461 and mention the NLGJA room block to make a reservation.
Rooms are subject to availability and once the block sells out, attendees will only be able to reserve rooms at the market rate. We recommend you book as soon as possible to secure your room at the discounted convention rate.
