NLGJA is seeking nominations for the LGBT Journalists Hall of Fame, established in 2005 with the recognition of seven journalists for their commitment, courage and dedication to LGBT issues in the media. Since then, NLGJA has honored a total of 23 journalists in the LGBT community for their resolve to tell the truth, including their own personal truths, at whatever the cost or difficulty.

To submit a nomination, e-mail Bach Polakowski at bach@nlgja.org. Please use the subject line: “Hall of Fame Nomination.” Please include your name, phone number and e-mail address in case members of the committee want to reach you for additional information. Nominations should include the candidate's name and a brief statement why this individual is worthy of inclusion. We would also welcome the submission of any publications that provide background on the nominee.

Nominations must be received no later than Friday, May 16.

The 2014 Hall of Fame inductees will be recognized Saturday, August 23 at the Awards Ceremony during Breaking Barriers, the 2014 NLGJA National Convention & LGBT Media Summit in Chicago.
