More than 350 people helped us celebrate NLGJA’s inaugural year at UNITY with this year’s Headlines and Headliners. Raising more than $100,000 for NLGJA, we enjoyed a phenomenal event, and couldn’t be more thankful to the supporters, sponsors and partners who helped make the evening such a success. This was my third NY event, and personally, it once again proved to be one of my favorite nights of the year. Be sure to check out the rundown, as well as a few pics of the event in this month’s NLGJA Newsletter.

In the newsletter, we also have an interview with our Chapter Liaison, Matthew Berger, about the chapter rollout plan currently underway at NLGJA. Based on this year’s membership survey, we have extended our time at a more local level, concentrating resources to aid chapters in programming and networking events.

Read about some of the chapter events already happening around the country. Columbia, Arizona, and AZ State, all held events in March. Our staff plans to attend chapter events at several chapters this year, as we celebrate diversity with our alliance partners at UNITY.

Speaking of, registration is well underway. If you haven’t already, register for the UNITY convention, August 1-4 in Las Vegas. Our website lists dozens of outstanding panels for this year’s conference, plus a variety of things to do while you’re in Vegas (not that you’ll need any help finding things to do). With what is sure to be the largest NLGJA convention on record, we look forward to celebrating our diversity with you, and learning a thing or two in between.
