Washington, DC – The National Lesbian & Gay Journalists Association today announced a campaign to encourage allies to join and take part in its programs for members. This change, offering an Ally Membership for $75 a year, goes into effect in preparation for the organization’s 25th anniversary celebration later in 2015.

nlgja_logoNLGJA continues to be the premiere network for LGBT media professionals and now will include everyone dedicated to the highest journalistic standards in the coverage of LGBT issues.

“Over our 25-year history, NLGJA has had countless individuals who have shown support of our mission,” said NLGJA Executive Director Adam Pawlus. “By adding this category, we can now bring those individuals into our membership fold. We look forward to expanding the NLGJA family. ”
