OutNewsWire is presented jointly by NLGJA: The Association of LGBTQ Journalists and Witeck Communications. A portion of all proceeds generated by OutNewsWire will support the mission and programs of NLGJA: The Association of LGBTQ Journalists.

How OutNewsWire Works
OutNewsWire offers a trusted list of journalists and media professionals with some 350 US and Canadian contacts and growing. Organizations and individuals who wish to use our targeted media list must begin by registering online and creating an account with us. Once an account is established, it is simple to use our online form to upload press releases for distribution.
There is no cost to subscribe to receive new releases put out by OutNewsWire. However, akin to using other news release services, there is a fee for the distribution of each news release.
$300 USD/Release for Corporate and For-Profit Organizations
$150 USD/Release for Non-Profit Organizations
$100 USD/Release for NLGJA: The Association of LGBTQ Journalists Member Authors

Details of Service
Your news release will reach OutNewsWire’s national list of contacts. We cannot target one city, community or region. Additionally, we are unable to provide editorial and proofreading services, so you are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of your news release.
OutNewsWire now offers special rates for authors wishing to publicize new releases and appearances. NLGJA has long supported its members in all forms of writing, including book projects. In support of NLGJA’s mission, we are offering our member authors an additional cost advantage for this new service. The per release cost for members is $100 USD, while the non-member rate is $150 USD.
News Release Format
Releases must be uploaded in .doc form; PDFs cannot be accepted. You will submit and format your news release online using our what-you-see-is-what-you-get form. The full text of your press release will then be sent within the body (not as an attachment) of an e-mail message to the OutNewWire list. If you have an image, you can inform recipients where to find it online or provide contact details at the end of your news release concerning graphics. The subject of the e-mail message sent to recipients will include your press release title or an abbreviated version as required by space constraints.
New Release Length
With very rare exception, we request that news releases be limited to no more than 800-1,000 words. You will not, however, be charged by word count or length.
Attachments
At this time, we cannot accept attachments such as photographs, PDFs or any other additional documents. We invite you to post all attachments on a Web site and to provide a URL for this supplemental information.
Press Contacts
Each news release must include the correct name, telephone number and e-mail address for the relevant press contact to allow for media inquiries and follow-up. We will not respond to any press inquiries on your behalf.
Hours of Distribution
Our service will be accessible 24/7 year-round, and from a practical matter, news releases will be distributed Monday-Friday during normal business hours ET and apart from holiday schedules. If there is special urgency or timeliness, distribution arrangements may be made outside of our standard hours. If received by 3:00 PM ET Monday-Friday, your release will receive same-day service.
Confirmation
You will receive a confirmation e-mail upon submitting your news release to OutNewsWire. Following distribution, you will receive a confirmation e-mail signaling the successful transmission of your news release to the OutNewsWire list.

Costs
There is no cost to create and register an account to work successfully with TravelOutNewsWire. There is, however, a fee for the distribution of each news release (akin to using other news release services such as PR Newswire.)

Format
Please upload your press release in Google Doc or Word format. Press releases uploaded in PDF format cannot be processed.
No Attachments
At this time, we cannot accept nor include attachments such as photographs, PDFs or additional documents. We invite you to post attachments on a website, and provide journalists with the link to additional press materials as you choose. This service will rely on text-based copy.
Press Contact Identified
Each news release also must include the correct name, telephone number and email address for the relevant press contact to allow media inquiries and follow-up. We will not respond to any press inquiries on your behalf.
Languages
News releases may be transmitted in any language; however we are unable to offer translation and will presume most news releases will be transmitted in the English language, but that is not required.
Hours of Distribution
Our service will remain accessible 24/7 year-round; and from a practical matter, news releases will be distributed Monday-Friday during normal work hours except that no releases will be made during U.S. holiday schedules. If there is special urgency or timeliness, distribution arrangements may be made outside our standard hours. If received in a timely way, your release customarily will receive same-day service Monday through Friday throughout the year.
Confirmation
Following distribution, you will receive a confirmatory email signaling satisfactory transmission to the TravelOutNewsWire list.

At this time, we are not able to offer media tracking or clipping services.
